Row, Core & More

  • Our classes cover a complete range of rowing skills and structured workouts. Sessions are varied, full-body, and adaptable for both beginners and experienced rowers across all fitness levels.

  • Most people join without any rowing experience - or after a long break from exercise. With personalised 1:1 coaching and a vibrant, supportive atmosphere, you’ll feel like part of the crew before you know it!
If you’d prefer a private introduction beforehand, just get in touch.

  • Hone your technique, refine your rhythm, and push your pace and power. Each session helps you progress towards your personal goals with targeted coaching and structured challenges.

  • Every class highlights a different technical element - core engagement, rhythm, leg drive, and more. You’ll learn how to maintain strong form through changes in speed and intensity so you can row smarter, safer, and more efficiently.

  • From long, steady endurance pieces to short, high-rate power intervals (and everything in between), you’re in control. Adjust your machine as needed and work at a level that feels right for you.

  • We don’t stay seated for the whole hour! Rowing blocks are combined with bodyweight movements designed to complement your technique, strengthen key muscle groups, and target the final 15% that rowing alone doesn’t hit. Every class includes a complete warm-up, plus mobility and stretching to finish.

  • Book your seat now and discover just how much fun a rowing machine can be!

Full-body, varied intensity classes (options given) to build power, fitness & muscle tone & feel great! Group Classes at Kingston Rowing Club and Twickenham Rowing Club.

    • Focus on mobility

    • Cardio and optional power work on the rower

    • Bodyweight and balance exercises off the rower

    • Cool down and stretching

    • Plenty of water breaks to hydrate, and catch your breath

  • These classes are ideal for anyone aged 45 or over who wants to take their first steps toward a more active lifestyle. The sessions are paced, adaptable, and held in a supportive environment.
(Please note: these classes are separate from the Silverfit sessions I also lead. To book Silverfit classes, please visit Silverfit.org.uk.)

  • Your coach, Su, is an experienced rowing coach and personal trainer. She’ll teach you proper rowing technique, just like rowing on the water, with a strong focus on posture and core engagement.

  • Classes gradually build your cardiovascular fitness while Su offers personalised 1:1 coaching to help you get the most from your workout. Upbeat music keeps the energy high, and bodyweight exercises complement the rowing stroke, targeting muscles rowing alone doesn’t.

  • The focus is on enjoying fitness while learning new skills and making new friends. After class, everyone is warmly invited to stay for a cuppa and a chat, a great way to connect and build community.

Introw

‘Introw’ is for those who have never been on a rowing machine before, but would like to explore more technical coaching. It is an ideal introduction to rowing on the water as the same technique is used.

No rowing or base fitness level is required and any type of rowing machine (erg) is fine. As long as you can sit, hold a handle and listen to some instruction, you can row!
